Lead-Free Piezoelectric Ceramics: Technologies and Global Opportunities (NAN063C)
LF22
This KNN-based piezoceramic material has been developed as a lead-free substitute for conventional soft-doped PZT ceramics. It displays high sensitivity and a low mechanical quality factor. It is suitable for applications within underwater receivers and hydrophones, flow and level transducers and non-destructive testing, and implantable devices such as hearing aids.
LF41
A lead-free alternative to soft-doped PZT, LF41 is a sensitive material with a piezoelectric charge coefficient of 300 pC/N in 33 directions. It is very soft and has a relatively high piezoelectric coupling and low mechanical quality factor. It is suited for medical imaging applications, acoustic emission, shock and acceleration sensors, and actuating purposes.
Pz62
Possessing a higher mechanical quality factor than LF22 and LF41, Pz62 is ideal for underwater communication, medical imaging, and ultrasonic sensors and transducers.
