Founded in 1982, Esaote designs, manufactures and markets medical diagnostic systems and imaging technologies, including ultrasound scanners, dedicated MRI systems and software for managing diagnostic processes. It has manufacturing and R&D facilities in Italy, the Netherlands and China. Esaote SpA was formerly a subsidiary of Bracco S.p.A.

The company offers portable and cart-based ultrasound diagnostic imaging systems for cardiology/cardiovascular; general imaging; women’s health; point-of-care applications; ultrasound probes; and dedicated MRI systems, such as musculoskeletal MR imaging systems, weight-bearing MRI systems and coils. The company also provides healthcare information technology (IT) products, including SuiteStensa diagnostic imaging software for radiology and cardiology departments and other software products for radiotherapy, breast imaging, nuclear medicine and orthopedics applications. The company also offers veterinary imaging systems.
