Forbo is a well-known manufacturer of conveyor belt solutions, floor coverings, and adhesives for use in construction and building. The business comprises 49 sales organizations and a global network of 25 production and distribution firms, six fabrication centers, and 5,000 employees spread over 39 nations. The headquarters of Forbo are located in Baar, a canton of Zug, Switzerland. Forbo Holding Ltd., a member of the group, is traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Forbo Adhesives is a supplier of synthetic polymer-to-adhesive formulators and provides a line of formulated adhesives to many end-use markets, including automotive, packaging, graphic arts, converting, textiles, and product assembly. Brand names include Swift, StaCool, and Ever-Lock adhesives; Elvace, PACE, Plyamul, and Wallpol synthetic polymers; and Lyons Coatings.

The company operates in three divisions:

• Forbo Flooring Systems offer a broad and attractive range of environmentally friendly linoleum, high-quality vinyl floorings, and entrance matting systems that clean and dry shoes, carpet tiles, and needle felt. With a market share of more than 65%, Forbo is the global market leader in linoleum.

• Forbo Bonding Systems is among the world’s leading suppliers of industrial adhesives. Its products are suitable for numerous applications in key markets, including the paper processing industry, the packaging industry, the shoe, the textile industry, and the furniture industry, as well as for the manufacturing of automotive and motor interior trim. Forbo Bonding Systems also provides ready-made adhesives for flooring installations and ceramic tiles, as well as welding rods and leveling compounds for the construction industry. The third business area is synthetic polymers to customers in the adhesives, varnish, and paint and construction industries.

• Forbo Movement Systems provides top-quality power transmission belts; sophisticated conveyor and processing belts; and plastic modular, timing, and flat belts made of synthetic materials. These products are sold under the brand name Siegling.
