Company Overview

Holcim is a Switzerland-based global building materials and aggregates company. The original company merged with Lafarge on July 10, 2015, to form LafargeHolcim, which in 2021 became the new company, Holcim Group. It operates in the global markets through its four business segments: cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, solutions, and products. Some major brands under the Holcim Group are ACC, Aggregate Industries, Ambuja Cement, Disensa, Firestone Building Products, Geocycle, Holcim, Lafarge, and Malarkey Roofing Products.

As of 2024, it has 150 recycling centers worldwide. It recycled 10.2 million tons of construction and demolition materials (CDM) in 2024, a 20% increase from 2030. Holcim offers recycling and sustainability solutions through its Geocycle business, which is a part of its Cement business unit. It provides sustainable waste management solutions to municipalities and industries worldwide. In 2024, Geocycle supported Holcim’s decarbonization and circularity targets by recycling 14.7 million tons of waste and byproducts for use as decarbonized energy or in raw materials.
