Impossible Foods was established in 2011 by a professor at Stanford University, Dr. Patrick O. Brown. The company manufactures various plant-based meat alternative products such as burgers, sausages,
patties, nuggets, meatballs, etc. The company’s large-scale manufacturing plant is in Oakland, California. Impossible Foods Inc. partnered with OSI, which is its co-manufacturer and provides added manufacturing space for the manufacturing of Impossibles Sausage as well as Impossible Burger.
Company scientists have created exclusive technologies to mimic the sensory experience of animal-based meat using plant sources. The company introduced its first product in 2016, Impossible Burger. Products produced by the company are free from animal hormones & antibiotics. Products are certified with halal, kosher, and gluten-free certificates.
