Company Overview

Ingersoll Rock Drill Company was formed during 1800-1899. In 1890, Ingersoll Sergeant introduced the world’s first direct-connected, electric motor-driven compressor. Ingersoll has two business segments: Industrial Technologies and Services; and Precision and Science Technologies. The Industrial Technologies and Services segment manufactures a broad range of air compression, vacuum and blower products across a wide array of technologies for all manufacturing and industrial facilities. The Precision and Science Technologies segment manufactures flow control products for the water and wastewater, food & beverage, chemical processing, precision irrigation, energy, medical equipment, laboratory vacuum, and automated liquid handling end-markets.

The company also has an Energy Recovery Unit that uses the waste heat generated by the compression process in oil free compressors to dramatically increase the overall system efficiency.
