Company Overview
JUMO is a worldwide trademark for measurement and control technology from Fulda, Germany. The company was founded in Fulda, in what was then the American-occupied zone of Western Germany. In 1984, JUMO began a subsidiary in the U.S. to offer support and service to its customers with exports to the U.S. Initially, JUMO Process Control Inc. was located in New York City. Six years later, the subsidiary moved to the western suburbs of Philadelphia, Pa. In 1999, after 15 years of support to its existing customers, JUMO decided to market its high-quality instrumentation to U.S.-based manufacturers, as well. This change necessitated a larger facility with additional office, service and warehouse space. In 2000, JUMO Process Control moved nearby to accommodate this increase. In 2005, JUMO further expanded and a new manufacturing facility and sales office were built in Canastota, N.Y. JUMO manufactures temperature and pressure sensors, process controllers, recorders, thermostats, temperature transmitters, indicators and control systems.
