Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. operates through the following business segments: aerospace systems, rolling stock, precision machinery and robots, energy solutions and marine engineering, powersports and engines, and others. The precision machinery and robot division is involved in the production and sale of industrial hydraulic products and industrial robots; the rolling stock division is engaged in the production and sale of rolling stock and snowplows; the energy solution and marine engineering segment manufactures and markets aircraft. The steam and gas turbines are provided under the energy solutions and marine engineering segment.
The company has 17 domestic production sites and 23 overseas production sites. It has direct business in steam turbines in many countries such as Asia e.g., South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and Indonesia), South America (e.g., Brazil) and Africa.

Company's Business Segments
- Aerospace Systems : This segment surrounds the demand from the Ministry of Defense in Japan to accelerate continuously under the Ministry of Defense's policy of drastically strengthening defense capabilities.
- Rolling Stock : This segment includes the number of railway users who recovered owing to the easing of the infection by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resumed investments in rolling stock in Japan and overseas.
- Energy Solution & Marine Engineering : The business segment surrounds the Energy Solution & Marine Engineering segment, strongly influenced by the global trend toward achieving carbon neutrality.
- Precision Machinery & Robot : In the precision machinery segment, performance remained strong outside China's construction machinery market. Still, demand in the Chinese construction machinery market was sluggish owing to the impact of the prolonged real estate recession and other factors. In the robotics segment, the slow demand for robots for semiconductor manufacturing equipment bottomed out, and the market recovered from fiscal year 2024 while capturing new demands related to AI and green investment.
- Powersports & Engine : In the business segment surrounding the Powersports & Engine segment, the demand continued to be strong in the major markets, such as the U.S. and Europe. The market competition has intensified due to increased supplies from manufacturers after easing the supply chain disruptions in the previous fiscal year.
- Other : This segment is focused on three fields: A Safe and Secure Remotely Connected Society, Near-Future Mobility, and Energy and Environmental Solutions, which are making steady progress in creating solutions to social issues, such as medical and healthcare businesses, including surgical support robots and the commercialization of delivery robots.
