Mann+Hummel is engaged in providing filtration technology. The company started with fabric air filters made in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and later provided filtration products globally. It provides filter products to the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, electronics, hospital, municipality, hotel, and restaurant sectors, as well as to facilities (e.g., schools, public authorities) and international airports. The company manufactures and distributes filter media and simulation technologies, intake systems, liquid and air filter systems, membrane technologies, and thermal management components. It provides product offerings through its two business units: Transportation and Life Sciences and Environment (LS&E). The transportation business unit includes the original equipment and aftermarket business units. The Life Sciences and Environment business unit consists of the Air Filtration and Water and Fluid Solutions divisions. The LS&E includes filters for indoor and outdoor spaces, clean rooms, and industrial applications, as well as stationery and mobile air purifiers with HEPA filters for the safe separation of viruses, bacteria, and other micro-organisms.

Mann+Hummel also has a strategic partnership with DHL Supply Chain to optimize supply chains with its new expanded distribution strategy. The company has subsidiaries in North America, including Tri-Dim, Tri-Dim Hardy, and Pamlico Air, which cater to a large customer base.
