2004	Halma plc, a global group of life-saving technology companies, acquired Ocean Optics Plc.
2006	Ocean Optics acquired Mikropack GmbH, a developer and supplier of spectroscopy accessories.
2018	Ocean Optics launched Lab Services, offering basic feasibility studies, experimental design, machine learning, and consultancy.
2022	Ocean Optics acquired International Light Technologies, Inc., a technical lighting and light measurement company.
2022	Ocean Optics acquired handheld LIBS technology from Rigaku Analytical Devices to assess scrap aluminum for recycling.
