2012 RenewCell was founded in Stockholm, Sweden.
2013 The first patent for the RenewCell in the EU was granted.
2014 The first cloth was produced from fibres based on 100% Circulose pulp to demonstrate the application in the garment industry.
2015 RenewCell received its first U.S. patnet.
2016 An initial amount of dissolving pulp was produced and delivered for testing in industrially relevant, mixed production, virgin cotton together with Circulose pulp of lyocell fibres.
2017 H&M invests and becomes a shareholder in Renewcell and the Kristinehamn plant was completed.
2018 Initial production run in the Kristinehamn plant. First delivery of Circulose® pulp to customers.
2019 Renewcell received financing from the EU LIFE programme.
2020 Levi’s launches a partnership with Renewcell by introducing their most sustainable jeans, containing Circulose.
2021 Renewcell signed an agreement with the Spanish fashion house Inditex. The Danish fashion house BESTSELLER launched its first garments made with Circulose through the Vero Moda and Selected brands.
