| 2012 | RenewCell was founded in Stockholm, Sweden. |
| 2013 | The first patent for the RenewCell in the EU was granted. |
| 2014 | The first cloth was produced from fibres based on 100% Circulose pulp to demonstrate the application in the garment industry. |
| 2015 | RenewCell received its first U.S. patnet. |
| 2016 | An initial amount of dissolving pulp was produced and delivered for testing in industrially relevant, mixed production, virgin cotton together with Circulose pulp of lyocell fibres. |
| 2017 | H&M invests and becomes a shareholder in Renewcell and the Kristinehamn plant was completed. |
| 2018 | Initial production run in the Kristinehamn plant. First delivery of Circulose® pulp to customers. |
| 2019 | Renewcell received financing from the EU LIFE programme. |
| 2020 | Levi’s launches a partnership with Renewcell by introducing their most sustainable jeans, containing Circulose. |
| 2021 | Renewcell signed an agreement with the Spanish fashion house Inditex. The Danish fashion house BESTSELLER launched its first garments made with Circulose through the Vero Moda and Selected brands. |
