1988	Acquired a graphite electrode business in the U.S. and established Showa Denko Carbon, Inc.
2017	The company acquired acquired SGL GE.
2020	The company acquired Hitachi Chemical Company, Ltd. (currently Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd.)
2023	Showa Denko K.K. and Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. merged and transformed into two new companies: Resonac Holdings Corp. and Resonac Corp.
