| Purified Exosome Product (PEP) (an investigational new drug) |

Each vial of PEP contains trillions of platelet-derived regenerative exosomes. PEP is enriched in anti-inflammatory and angiogenic growth factors. It comes in a lyophilized powder form and is mixed with heparinized saline (a solution used to prevent clots in catheters) to create a solution that can be injected. PEP is stable for 24 months at room temperature. As of Jan 2024, RION was investigating PEP in phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials in a range of wounds (diabetic foot ulcers, radiation wounds, fistulizing wounds and radiation dermatitis). While the focus remains on wound healing, RION is also investigating PEP though multiple IND and preclinical studies in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, and women’s health disorders. |
