It offers three biodegradable, bio-based products: Solanyl, FlourPlast pre-compounds, and Optinyl masterbatches. Solanyl BP is derived from Solanum tuberosum, commonly known as the potato. Solanyl BP is based on a side-stream potato starch from the potato processing industry. These granules can be compounded and processed with natural fibers or with other biopolymers. Solanyl product offerings can be processed through conventional plastic processing methods: injection molding, sheet extrusion, thermoforming, and blow molding. The product is used in various markets: food packaging, shopping bags, groundwork and promotion, sports, toys, and leisure. |
