Company Overview
Founded in 1947, Sonova offers personal audio devices, wireless communication systems, audiological care services, hearing aids and cochlear implants. The group was founded in 1947 and operates through four business segments: Hearing Instruments, Audiological Care, Consumer Hearing and Cochlear Implants. The core brands include Phonak, Unitron, AudioNova, Sennheiser (under license) and Advanced Bionics, as well as recognized regional brands. The Group's globally diversified sales and distribution channels serve the consumer base in more than 100 countries.
Founded in 1993 and a subsidiary of the Sonova Group since 2009, Advanced Bionics (AB) develops cochlear implants. AB joined Phonak as part of the Sonova Group of companies.
