1962	The company consolidates all businesses and adopts a product division structure, establishing nine product divisions.
1970	Sumitomo Corp. merges with Sogo Boeki Co. Ltd.
1994	Sumitomo Corp. promotes globalization efforts.
1998	The Corporate Mission Statement is established.
2001	The Head Office is relocated to Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
2013	The company introduces the Broad Regional Management System.
2021	Sumitomo Corp. forms the Energy Innovation Initiatives.
