ASM International N.V. (ASM) supplies semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as front-end equipment, such as atomic layer deposition, or ALD, silicon carbide, PECVD or Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, and epitaxial tools. These tools offered by the company are used in the fabrication of semiconductor layers and preparation of silicon wafers. ASM is a significant supplier in the ALD (i.e. Atomic Layer Deposition) equipment segment.
ASM caters to multiple geographies namely U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Asia-Pacific region contributes more than 60% of the company’s overall revenue. Additionally, the company has more than 2600 patents and a total of 7 research and development centers.
