Company Overview

CarboTech is a full-service mid-sized supplier of powdered, granulated, extruded activated carbon, activated coke, coconut carbon, and wood carbon-based products in Germany. The company operates an integrated production plant manufacturing, refining and packaging, as well as reactivating tailor-made activated carbons and carbon molecular sieves. The company deals in production and advising (product selection) to logistical management (BigBags, sacks, etc.) and thermal recycling or sustainable reactivation. CarboTech uses conventional raw materials and a unique fluidized bed process to ensure the high quality of activated carbon for use in a wide range of applications. Due to its continuous and uniform heat supply and intensive mass transfer, a homogeneous pore distribution is achieved in the activated carbon, which enhances its adsorption performance. CarboTech is also a member of the Association of Activated Carbon Producers (ACPA), a Brussels-based specialized section inside Cefic. Major European manufacturers of activated carbon are represented by this non-profit association, which aims to exchange expert information and pursue shared objectives.
