Company Overview
Danaher Corp. is a science and technology company comprising 15 operating companies in the biotechnology, life sciences and diagnostic sectors. It has its research development, manufacturing and other activities across 50 countries. The biotechnology segment comprises Pall Life Science, acquired in 2015 and Cytiva, acquired in 2020. The segment further divided into bioprocessing, discovery and Medical. The bioprocessing unit provides technologies, consumables, services and solutions for manufacturing therapeutics, such as protein-based, cell and gene therapies, nucleic acid-based therapies and others requiring viral vectors and lipid nanoparticles.
Danaher launched its life sciences division by acquiring Leica Microsystems in 2005 and expanded further through acquisitions of AB Sciex and Molecular Devices in 2010, Beckman Coulter in 2011, Pall in 2015, Phenomenex in 2016, IDT in 2018, Aldevron in 2021 and Abcam in 2023. The life sciences segment offers products such as flow cytometry and lab automation solutions, mass spectrometry, microscopy, protein consumables and more.
