Company Overview
Pacific BioLabs is a contract research organization (CRO) that provides testing and development services. It was established in 1982 as Northview Pacific Labs, the West Coast section of Northview Biosciences Inc. The original company was founded in 1972 by Martin Spalding as Northview Biosciences. Northview Pacific Labs was opened to support the biotech industry’s growing demands and offer animal services for Northview’s national and international clients. The company was initially located in Berkeley. In 2000, the company moved its operations to a new facility in Hercules, California. In 2006, Northview Biosciences sold its facilities in Northbrook, Illinois, and Spartanburg, S.C., to SGS. The company serves a range of industries, including the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sectors. Pacific BioLabs acquired Bay Bioanalytical Laboratory in 2012 to expand its ability to serve various industries.
Pacific BioLabs is FDA registered. It is an ISO 17025:2017 accredited testing lab certified for microbiology, in vivo, and analytical chemistry testing services. Pacific BioLabs maintains affiliations with numerous professional associations, including:
