Report Scope
While the term “emission control products” can mean various materials, chemicals and devices, for the purposes of this report, a keen focus is placed on emission control filters, catalysts and sensors. In addition, membranes, sorbents and chemicals used for emission control purpose will also be reported as a secondary focus.
This report focuses on two regions, Europe (EU28) and the U.S., and identifies the major industry challenges, drivers, restraints, and global and regional trends of the rest of the world. The market size is given where possible, along with major suppliers. Market shares by company are estimated for the major markets. Consensus views of the future growth rates in both Europe (EU28) and the U.S. are given for the different product sectors and application segments through 2019, assuming that the global economy does not lapse back into recession. Many of these growths, for example, the progress in diesel exhaust filters, de-NOx (nitrogen oxide) catalysts and U.S. utility de-NOx catalysts, will depend on technical and legislative as well as economic factors. The European markets of Germany, France and the U.K. are also included.
This report analyzes the above markets for emission control products in U.S. dollars, including market intelligence on both mature products as well as those that are in the development pipeline. Company profiles for both key and niche players are included in the report, with their available addresses, phone and fax numbers, and websites.
Emission control systems, which are often complicated assembled forms of the emission control parts and components mentioned above, is excluded from this market study, although some well-known system providers and their products may still be mentioned in the report.
